Sarajevo (Reuters) – Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, who advocates the departure from Bosnian Serb territories, said on Friday that the Republic of Serbia would withdraw from the Balkan army, the supreme magistracy and the tax authorities.
The three institutions represent important pillars of Bosnia’s common security, the rule of law and the economic system. Bosnia was divided into two federal autonomous regions dominated by the Republic of Serve and the Croatian-Bosnian war, after the war which left 100,000 dead between 1992 and 1995. And nearly 2 million people left their homes.
Dodik, now a member of the Bosnian triethnic president’s Serve, took action to thwart the central government after a former peace ambassador imposed a law criminalizing genocide and denial of war crimes at the end of the month of July. low.
After the SNSD party meeting in Banja Luka, the main Bosnian Serbian city, Mr. Dodik said: “The agreement we have given to the Law on Defense, the Supreme Council of Justice and Prosecutions and the Office indirect taxes. Will be withdrawn. ”
“These decisions will be invalid. The Parliament of Republika Srpska will adopt regulations and conclusions on how to regulate them, ”said Dodik. SNSDs with coalition partners make up the majority of parliaments in the region.
He said several expert groups were working on drafting a new constitution and a new law for the Republic of Servia on defense, justice and finance in the region.
Dodik was blacklisted by the United States for violating the provisions of the Dayton Accords which ended the Bosnian War. He said the decision announced Friday would not violate the Constitution, which is part of the Dayton accord. Indeed, the three institutions were formed on the basis of the decisions of the International Peace Envoy and are not enshrined in the Constitution.
He also said that the territorial integrity of Bosnia would be maintained.
Critics say the local council cannot revoke a decision approved by the state legislature.
Measures such as Friday’s announcement worsen the political crisis in Bosnia. In Bosnia, decision-making has been largely hampered in recent years by the conflicting interests of rival ethnic leaders.
