Serbian FM calls Vice President Naidu and meets MoS Lekhi

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selaković met Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Monday and also met Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, during which the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

Vice President Naidu, during the meeting, noted that the two countries, as co-founders of the Non-Aligned Movement, have traditionally enjoyed a deep friendship marked by mutual trust and understanding.

In a series of tweets, Vice President Naidu said he also referred to bilateral relations and observed that “there are immense opportunities for businessmen, scientists and technologists, young people and professionals. sportsmen from both countries to collaborate meaningfully “.

Separately, the Serbian Foreign Minister met with the Defense Ministry Meenakshi Lekhi.

“Nice to meet Serbian FM Nikola Selakovic. We discussed our warm and historic relationship and ways to further strengthen our multifaceted ties, especially in the areas of economy, culture, tourism and education, ”she tweeted.

On Sunday, the Serbian Foreign Minister met with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, during which the two sides agreed to continue their long-standing cooperation, especially on the economic front.
