San Antonio Bartenders Celebrate the Holidays with the Kinsman Brandy Alexander Annual Tour | Flavor | San Antonio
San Antonio-based DorÄol Distilling + Brewing Co. has revealed details for the 2021 iteration of its annual Kinsman Brandy Alexander Tour, a seasonal celebration of the classic Brandy cocktail.
A Brandy Alexander drink traditionally contains equal parts of brandy, cream and crème de cacao, but don’t tell attendees.
“It’s always exciting to see which direction a bartender will take the cocktail in. Creativity in the local restaurant and bar scene is at an all time high,” DorÄol co-founder Boyan Kalusevic said in a statement. . âWe always look forward to this time of year, not only to be able to enjoy the cocktails, but also for others to see what the people of San Antonio can do behind the bar.â
Each year, a number of San Antonio bars and restaurants participate in the event, creating unique versions of the favorite party using DorÄol’s award-winning Kinsman Rakia. DorÄol Kinsman Apricot Rakia is an unaged brandy made from pitted and hulled Serbian apricots.
Some of this year’s attendees include bartenders Ana Cabrera from Biga on the Banks, Cruz Mojica from Blue Box, Megan Currington and Harold Baeza from the Fairmount Hotel, Nick Kenna from George’s Keep, Benjamin Krick from Pastiche and Ryan Swanson from Sternewirth, to name just one.
The seventh annual Brandy Alexander Tour will take place at participating bars from Thanksgiving Day through December 31. The prices of the cocktails offered will vary.
