Premier League star agrees personal terms with Manchester United as he hopes to seal Old Trafford transfer: Reports

Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka has agreed terms with Manchester United ahead of a loan deal with option to buy, as per fabrice romano.
The 33-year-old Serbian is eager to join the Red Devils with transfer guru Romano saying he sees it as a huge opportunity.
Romano tweeted:
“Martin Dubravka has agreed personal terms with Manchester United. He hopes Newcastle will agree and let him go because it’s a huge opportunity.”
United are offering a season-long loan with a £5million option to buy. Newcastle are awaiting a permanent transfer.
However, Dubravka hopes an agreement will be reached between the two clubs.
The veteran goalkeeper joined the Magpies in 2018 from Czech side Sparta Prague for £3.6m.
He went on to make 130 appearances for the Tyneside outfit, keeping 37 clean sheets.
The Serb has been replaced by Nick Pope as Eddie Howe’s No1 goalkeeper this season.
Pope arrived from Burnley in the summer and has impressed in his first three appearances.
Meanwhile, Dubravka can expect to challenge David De Gea for the goalkeeping shirt at Manchester United this season.
The Spaniard started the campaign unconvincingly with two blunders in United’s demoralizing 4-0 loss to Brentford.
He conceded seven goals in his first four appearances and apologized for his role in the loss to Brentford.
De Gea became United’s longest-serving player after arriving at Old Trafford in 2011.
The Spaniard has made 491 appearances for the Red Devils, keeping 167 clean sheets.
Potential Manchester United signing Dubravka a stopgap hole for possible new replacement for De Gea
Considering Dubravka’s age and the possibility that his transfer will only be a loan move, it looks like Ten Hag may be looking to challenge him to De Gea for this season.
The Red Devils will eventually have to replace De Gea as the Spaniard is now 31 years old.
That’s disregarding his error-prone start to the season, as question marks were raised over whether he was Ten Hag’s idealistic shot-stopper.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper isn’t the best of his feet and some claim he lacks presence.
Along with that, De Gea has just one year left on his contract with the option to extend it for another year.
There don’t seem to be many goalkeeper options on the market at the moment and Dubravka could be a stopgap for a potential permanent replacement.
