Title race
We are ready for another two-horse race in the battle for the ultimate Premier League honor this season.
Manchester City signed Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.
The Citizens have won the last two top-flight titles largely without a recognized centre-forward, and Haaland’s arrival could see a burst of goals at the Etihad.
However, we have yet to see the impact of the departures of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Fernandinho.
This quartet combined to play 92 games, scored 23 goals and provided 20 assists in the successful 2021-22 Premier League campaign.
Pep Guardiola will be in desperate need of £100million to sign Jack Grealish to step up this tenure, along with his new attacking signings, who are yet to be tested in English football.
Summer affairs have been altogether quieter for Liverpool.
Yes, they lost Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, but Jurgen Klopp was delighted to see Luis Diaz settling in effortlessly at Anfield.
Fringe players Neco Williams, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi left, but none of the three really helped the side to finish a single point behind their Manchester rivals.
Their stable squad and the addition of striker Darwin Nunez could therefore make Liverpool a good value bet.
Our pick: Liverpool to win the title – 9/4

Relegation
The relegation market has a familiar feel with the three newly promoted clubs expected to fight back bravely against the drop.
Scott Parker’s Bournemouth are favorites at 4/7 to finish in the bottom three, but Fulham represent the better value choice at 11/8.
Most promoted clubs go into their opening games with optimism, but there is a significant lack of harmony around Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers have spent around £31million on Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira and Kevin Mbabu, while Manor Solomon has arrived on loan.
But Fulham still need to strengthen in the center of defence, with 34-year-old Tim Ream and Tosin Adarabioyo their only two senior players available.
And Silva is well aware of the team’s shortcomings.
He said: “We as a team are not ready. Nobody can compete at this level with 16 senior players in a team.
“Nobody can prepare a season with two centre-backs at this level. Anyone who understands football can see that we need at least five or six players. That’s clear.”
There is also pressure on centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrovic to finally make it into the top flight.
The Serb scored a colossal 43 goals in 44 league appearances last season, but has only 24 in 104 Premier League appearances, with 11 his best return ever…
Our pick: Fulham will be relegated – 11/8

golden boot
Erling Haaland enters as the absolute favorite to win the 2022-23 Golden Boot award.
And it’s easy to see why. The Norwegian powerhouse has an incredible goalscoring record wherever he’s gone and plays for a team that consistently threatens over 100 goals a season.
However, the striker missed 16 games in all competitions last season and started 21 of Borussia Dortmund’s 34 Bundesliga games.
His injury record coupled with Pep’s notorious rotation could make three-time Golden Boot winner Harry Kane a high-value pick at 11/2.
The England talisman recovered from a lackluster start when Antonio Conte took charge, scoring 16 goals in 28 PL games.
And Spurs are set to improve further with some excellent attacking additions including Richarlison and Ivan Perisic.
Our pick: Harry Kane wins the Golden Boot – 11/2

The best of the rest…
Sky Bet has hundreds of other markets available, and we’ve selected our best value favourites.
Leeds receive the most cards – 7/2
Leeds finished with 100 yellow cards last season, 22 more than second-placed Newcastle and Aston Villa.
Alisson will be the winner of the Golden Glove – 7/4
Alisson Becker won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award last season after recording 20 clean sheets in 36 appearances, sharing it with Ederson.
Deniz Undav will be Brighton’s top scorer – 10/3
Brighton pinched Royal Union Saint-Gilloise’s Deniz Undav in the summer, and we’re backing him to succeed.
Last season, Undav scored 26 goals in 39 games for the Belgian club, and reports suggest he is already ahead of Neal Maupay in the pecking order.
Liverpool (FUL, CRY, MAN) and Manchester City (WHU, BOU, NEW) both win their first three PL games – 7/1
The final day of last season proves how important every point is, and clubs will want to maximize their tally ahead of the World Cup break.
Liverpool and Manchester City have already had the added benefit of a highly competitive Community Shield clash.
