Mallorca confirm the return of Muriqi and the incorporation of goalkeeper Rajkovic
BARCELONA, July 22. (EUROPEAN PRESS) –
RCD Mallorca on Friday confirmed two signings for next season, including Kosovar Vedat Muriqi, who will return on a contract until 2027 after his successful loan spell last season from Lazio, and Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic until 2026 .
In the case of striker Muriqi, 28, he returns to the island after playing a total of 17 games last season in the Mallorcan shirt. The Kosovar was fundamental in saving the team due to his numbers -5 goals and 3 assists in 16 La Liga games- and for everything he gave to the team. In fact, he has started in every game he has played, racking up a total of 1,529 minutes between League and Cup.
“The club has made a very important bet to integrate the Kosovo striker and associate him with the project for the next five seasons. Muriqi is also a player much loved by Mallorcan fans, with whom he had a special bond from the moment he arrived,” he pointed out to RCD Mallorca in his statement.
In addition, the Vermilion team formalized the incorporation of Predrag Rajkovic, who played the last three seasons in Ligue1 with Stade Reims, being one of the most outstanding goalkeepers in the competition.
In the French top division, he played a total of 102 games and also has experience in European competitions. He racks up a total of 46 games between the Champions League and Europa League, both with Stade de Reims and, most importantly, with his former club, Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He is also a goalkeeper for the Serbian senior team, with whom he has played a total of 28 games, and one of the 32 national teams playing in the World Cup in Qatar this year.
