The greatest demand for experts to work on software for the automotive industry, banking, logistics, healthcare, etc.

Good skills of Serbian experts and quality of delivery are the biggest advantages of the Serbian IT market, and major global companies compete to offer national engineers and developers better conditions. One of the world’s leading IT companies, Luxoft, part of global IT giant DXC Technology, recently opened an office in Serbia. Luxoft offers local experts all the advantages of working in a global company, which has been declared the best IT company and the best employer in many countries around the world where it operates. “Currently, Luxoft has 300 open positions. We currently have 800 employees, we will have permanently open positions for programmers for Serbia, and our plan is to triple the number of employees next year around this time. We expect the greatest response in Belgrade, but as Luxoft works mainly “remotely”, we have no restrictions on hiring candidates from any part of Serbia, as there is the choice to work from home,” says Mihajlo Poštić, director of Luxoft in Serbia. . Luxoft operates in 25 countries around the world and provides state-of-the-art software solutions to more than 450 customers worldwide. Working in international teams on projects for the world’s most famous brands, cooperating with the world’s leading experts and unlimited opportunities for career development – these are just some of the benefits of working at Luxoft . The experts of this company develop the latest software for the world’s most famous car manufacturers, banks and other financial organizations and many Fortune 500 companies from other sectors.

Director of the automotive software department, Anton Bardšev, underlines that the automotive industry is very demanding and difficult to develop, but he strongly believes in the potential of the Serbian IT market: “The development of software for the automotive industry is still at its infancy in Serbia, and Luxoft is an excellent opportunity for experts interested in it. Faculties in Serbia provide an excellent foundation for this field, mainly C, C++ and C integrated programming languages, and we offer a unique knowledge upgrade in practical work. Bardšev also highlights Serbia’s great advantage as a location: “Serbia’s huge advantage is that it is in the center of Europe, and by coming to this place, Luxoft has physically come closer to the big European car manufacturers with which it cooperates. The fact that the hardware itself, i.e. the cars for testing, is now more available to us, increases the speed of delivery of solutions considerably. Aleksej Kosintsev, director of cross-industry solutions in Serbia, also highlights projects in the field of retail, telecommunications and logistics: “We are developing platforms that allow companies to monitor and control risks related to the Supply Chain. Additionally, our Application Security team develops security solutions for one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. Healthcare projects are also an important part of Luxoft’s portfolio, says Aleksander Žirma, Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences Projects: “In dentistry, Luxoft works, I can say freely, about revolutionary projects that will change current orthodontic practice. Our growing team in Belgrade develops a state-of-the-art orthodontic platform that includes all process steps – from the jaw scan with 3D technology to a 3D print showing the final appearance. Mihajlo Poštić believes that as a country we still need to work on a higher volume of training IT experts, so that the capacity can meet the high demand. “For example, only Luxoft can employ literally all software engineers who graduated from the University of Belgrade,” concludes Poštić. Luxoft invites IT experts from Serbia who want to get acquainted with the possibilities offered by this company to come to the Discover Luxoft Day event on August 30.
