Burnley consider replacing Chris Wood shock
According to Daily mail, Burnley are considering a swoop for former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll as a replacement for the recently deceased Chris Wood. Carroll is currently playing on paltry wages in a league with Championship side Reading, where he has scored one goal in 500 league minutes.

Newcastle biding its time
According to a report by Luke Edwards of the Telegraph, Newcastle are slowing down deals with players coming from overseas. It looks like the next few days will be slow on the Magpies’ front, but a defender is still on the cards heading into deadline day.
I don’t think there will be any other signings made before Watford. Any progress is made with overseas based players and that is also proving slow again. The hope is to sign a CB on a permanent deal next week and then pause to allow the market, especially loans, to open up. #NUFC
