Egyptian FM meets Serbian counterpart

CAIRO – August 22, 2021: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received his Serbian counterpart Nikola Selaković at the headquarters of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Sunday, said Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Two ministers will hold a press conference following a session of talks in which they will address bilateral relations and other issues of mutual concern, according to a statement released by the ministry on Saturday evening.
In July 2021, the Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and his Serbian counterpart Nebojša Stefanović signed a military cooperation protocol during the latter’s visit to Egypt.
Two months earlier, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enany had met a delegation from the Serbian government headed by the governor of Vojvodina Igor Mirovic. The delegation included representatives from the tourism, economy, industry and commerce sectors in Serbia. During the meeting, strengthening tourism and archaeological cooperation between the two countries and increasing inbound tourism from Serbia to Egypt were discussed.
