Belarusian electric bus assembly projects in Serbia
MINSK, September 17 (BelTA) – A delegation from the Belarusian Ministry of Industry is visiting Serbia on September 17-18, officials from the Belarusian embassy in Serbia told BelTA.
The delegation includes the heads of the main industrial enterprises of Belarus and is headed by Minister of Industry Piotr Parkhomchik. The minister met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on September 17. During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the high level of relations between Belarus and Serbia and mentioned that there is potential for more advanced and deeper economic relations.
The Belarusian delegation also met representatives of the Serbian government, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of the Interior and the Belgrade municipal administration.
Serbian Economy Ministry Secretary of State Dragan Stevanovic said the Serbian side was ready to implement projects that consider the establishment of joint manufacturing companies. In turn, Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said that Serbian specialists would like to get acquainted with Belarusian branded fire fighting vehicles and expressed interest in considering possibilities of joint production of trucks firefighters in Serbia.
The industrial potential of Belarus will be presented at the 88th International Agricultural Fair in the city of Novi Sad. Belarus and Serbia are then expected to sign a memorandum of understanding to set up an electric bus assembly company.
