Air Serbia said it plans to introduce new routes, increase frequencies to existing destinations and modernize its services this year, noting that 2021 has made it “faster, more flexible, more careful, but also more courageous “. Kicking off the new year with a new CEO, the company said, “We have big plans to improve our services and deliver the best possible user experience, with particular emphasis on the digitization of operations, i.e. modernization of our mobile application. and website. We plan to increase frequencies to certain destinations, introduce new routes and offer many new and exciting experiences to our passengers ”.

Air Serbia will start introducing several new routes from Niš and Kraljevo from tomorrow, although there are also plans to add new destinations from its main hub in Belgrade over the next twelve months. In addition, the airline plans to renew its turboprop fleet, develop a new booking engine that will first be available on the mobile application, then on its website, as well as to strengthen cooperation with partner airlines. . It has also acquired new software that will help it respond to changing conditions with optimized pricing information, helping it generate additional revenue opportunities. The carrier presented plans to restore three routes from Belgrade that have been interrupted since March 2020 due to the pandemic, including Madrid, Venice and Nice.

The company noted, “We’re leaving 2021 behind, but not the lessons it taught us. It has been a year of frequent changes in travel restrictions, but we have also changed and developed accordingly, and despite the difficult circumstances, we have achieved good results. At the start of December, we exceeded 1.5 million passengers handled in 2021, which is an increase of up to 76% compared to 2020 as a whole. We also hope to continue to grow at this rate in the future ” . The airline previously said it plans to fully recover from the coronavirus pandemic and operate at pre-2020 levels by early next year.
